The unique look of BMW Group vehicles stems from the fact that their designs are an expression of their latest technologies. In creating these cars, the design team focuses on iconic statement features, adding a contemporary twist while still incorporating their historic roots. All the while, digital experiences, sound and colour are increasingly gaining importance, along with materials from sustainable ingredients and recyclates. BMW Group Concept Cars and Vision Vehicles are unique prototypes that hint at the future of vehicle design and experiences. Their styling reflects the innovativeness of our BMW Group products and brands.

Brand and Design Studios.
BMW
The designs of the core BMW brand are developed in the dedicated BMW brand studio. Here, the team are as diverse as the various models they create – but share a passion for BMW. We also design for both the BMW i and BMW M brands. That means we get to combine our love of innovation and sustainability on the one hand with performance and luxury on the other.
MINI
In the MINI Design Studio about 15 creatives design the MINI models of years to come. Together, they explore every aspect of personal mobility to develop 100-percent customer-focused solutions. Working with their colleagues from Colour and Material Design, and Digital Customer Experience, the designers turn product and brand into a holistic experience that incorporates new technologies and innovative materials and gives MINI its unmistakable character: bold, emotional and unique. Thanks to the team, every new MINI will remain an authentic original and ready for the future, underpinned by an unconventional approach.
BMW Motorrad
The team at the BMW Motorrad Design Studio comprises all sorts of personalities. Each designer has their own style and their own biking world. During the design process, their different directions come together and manifest themselves in every new BMW Motorrad bike.
Rolls-Royce
The team at the Rolls-Royce Motorcars Design Studios create the models, optional extras and accessories of the exclusive luxury brand. The Bespoke and Coachbuild programmes see designers and customers work together in unique collaboration to create custom-built vehicles that are truly one-of-a-kind.
What sets BMW Group

We are the design studio of the BMW, BMW i, BMW M, MINI, Rolls-Royce and BMW Motorrad brands. We are based at the heart of the BMW Group – the Research and Innovation Centre in Munich. The home of future mobility design.
At BMW Group Design, we do things our way. Often, we surprise people with creations that touch their emotions and exceed their expectations. We design for joy. For trust. For desire.
