BMW Technology Scouting.
The technology scouts of the BMW Group work in an international setting – on the one hand with their internal technology offices in the United States, Asia and Europe, on the other hand with their external partners, which include trend agencies, consultancies and higher education institutions. Our goal is the early detection of new, innovative technologies and technology induced trends in order to make these applicable for the BMW Group and to understand customer demands for the mobility of the future in global markets.
We identify, analyze and evaluate the opportunities and risks of new technologies and trends from cross industry and science and allow for a successful transfer of these insights into the BMW Group. This way we significantly contribute to the innovativeness of the BMW Group ranging from our strategy to our products, services and new business fields.
