In China the BMW Group has concentrated its IT expertise across two locations in Nanjing. Since 2019 BMW IT TechWorks China – a wholly owned subsidiary of BMW Brilliance Automotive – has been developing regional IT applications. The joint venture BA TechWorks, founded in 2021 in partnership with Archermind Technology, focuses on creating vehicle software specifically for the Chinese market.
