RE: UNITE FOR TOMORROW.

How can we collectively envision a responsible future?

THE CONCEPT.

The rad°hub inspires participants to shape a future of more human, more intelligent, more responsible action. The open and intensive exchange between experts from the different fields forms a key element and not only gives rise to new approaches and fruitful changes of perspective; it also ensures valuable collaborations in the future.

At each rad°hub, smaller workshop groups develop various scenarios for the future. The aim of these concentrated workshops is for people from different fields to work closely on devising the first few steps towards a responsible future together. By the end of the event, each workshop group has defined a joint future statement for 2050 and experienced new ways of thinking in the process.

THE COMMUNITY.

At the heart of the rad°hub is a diverse community with a wide variety of backgrounds. Participants are individually selected. They have influence and an open mind, advance progress, and work on an interdisciplinary basis to shape the future in a way that it remains liveable. The community also consists in part of BMW Group representatives from various areas of the company who are actively involved in driving the change.

By combining corporate, freelance, academic, entrepreneurial and various other perspectives in this way, the rad°hub aims to build a community of visionaries and rad°influencers to ensure an exchange that opens up new ways of thinking for all sides.

THE NAME.

So, why the name “rad°hub”? In German the word “Rad” means wheel – one of the greatest inventions in the history of humankind and a symbol of mobility and advancement into the future. In English “rad” means really exciting – and chimes with how we feel before every one of these events.

Inspired by this energy to create something new, participants come together, bringing with them their different mindsets and views. This results in in-depth discussions that lay the foundation for shared visions, plans of action and collaborations to benefit future generations.

The rad°hub, then, stands for what drives us – today and in the future.
