A new chapter in training and further education has begun at the BMW Group’s Munich site. A vibrant education hub has taken shape in the very heart of the city. Its further training programmes provide around 40,000 employees with the expertise that will benefit the entire company. The Talent Campus promotes expertise, ideas and creativity to fuel innovation.

Glass, wood and natural light – the moment you step inside, one thing becomes clear: this is no ordinary training centre. The new building’s open design allows it to blend seamlessly into the surrounding architecture.

Together with the existing buildings and training areas, it creates an accessible campus that invites people to learn, exchange ideas and think beyond the here and now.

Green spaces and a café that’s open to the general public provide the perfect setting for connection and conversations.

The Talent Campus is an architectural statement with real presence that conveys a clear message: education and training unlock the door to the future, and we want the world to know.

With the NEUE KLASSE, the BMW Group has entered a new era. It is not just the products that are changing; it's the structures, the processes and the demands on everyone working here. The Talent Campus provides the employees with the space and the tools they need to let their knowledge and skills flourish. It encourages learners to actively shape this new age of electrification, digitalisation and AI.

The BMW Group invested early to facilitate the technological leap made with the NEUE KLASSE. Over one billion euros has been channelled into training and further education worldwide in recent years, and tens of millions into the new Talent Campus in Munich. “To achieve peak performance, we need a perfect environment and the very best training conditions,” says Ilka Horstmeier.

What drives the BMW Group’s success is the know-how, talent and diverse perspectives of its employees. That is why it is so important to foster a working environment that inspires and motivates staff to bring their strengths to the table.

The state-of-the-art training rooms and workshop areas make learning even more appealing. The BMW Group’s further training programmes help its employees to utilise their talents and achieve outstanding results throughout their lives – no matter whether they have decades of experience under their belt or are just stepping into working life.

The fact that the BMW Group has been training young people for over a century underlines its commitment to vocational training. Today, there are around 30 apprenticeship roles and 20 dual study programmes worldwide. Over 900 apprentices already benefit from the new Talent Campus in Munich, including Sara and Marius.

Digital topics are an integral part of our training and further education programmes. All apprentices learn how to use generative AI. They practise using these new technologies responsibly and evaluating the results with a critical eye. AI is also used to tailor the learning process and make it more targeted. “Our goal is to make sure that apprentices are fully prepared for the digital world of work,” explains Stefan Fietz, Head of IT and Business Training.

The Talent Campus demonstrates exactly how the BMW Group manages change: with foresight, responsibility and trust in its own people. It combines progress with a learning culture that promotes openness, curiosity and self-improvement. The Talent Campus makes one thing clear on many levels: the future is something we learn together.
