With the joint mobility services of the BMW Group and Daimler AG, we provide the answers to current and future mobility requirements, especially for major cities. Digitization is the key to opening up new possibilities for more individual mobility. Perspectively, additional mobility offerings based on fully-electric and self-driving fleets will be available. These fleets will be available on-demand, self-charging and automatically parked, and will be able to connect with other modes of transport by road and rail. In the competition for urban mobility, the safety and comfort promises of the two leading German premium manufacturers are of crucial importance.
The BMW Group and Daimler AG have pooled their mobility services to create a new global player providing sustainable urban mobility that delivers consistent benefits to customers. The two companies are investing more than one billion euros to expand and more closely intermesh their offerings for car-sharing, ride-hailing, parking, charging and multimodal transport.
The two companies’ mobility services have a wealth of experience and a strong customer base, with a combined total of over 70 million active users to date. Building on their attractive product range and solid customer base in the key regions of Europe and the Americas, the five new joint-venture companies will grow their global footprint.
