The job of process mechanic for plastic and rubber is dominated by the latest technology and production systems, new plastics and high quality requirements. The work is split into the foam area where vehicle interior finish parts, such as cockpit, consoles, oddments boxes and door trims, are made and the injection moulding area (for example bumpers and clutch pedals). Systems must be fitted with shaping tools and equipment and adjusted in terms of their temperature, pressure and cycle speeds.
Process mechanics for plastic and rubber have to keep a close eye on the processing data and correct them where necessary. Quality control is enormously important, which is why we need tests with appropriate test equipment. You will maintain the equipment and plant, service it, and keep it running in order to archieve optimum performance.

Requirements.
- Good grades in physics and chemistry
- Reliability, precision approach, logical thinking and spatial awareness
- Good eyes, no allergies (skin, respiratory organs), quick powers of comprehension, manual skills
- An understanding of technical matters, sense of responsibility and independence
- Qualifizierter Hauptschulabschluss, mittlere Reife
