The Machine and Plant Operator is responsible for the set up, retooling and operation of machines and equipment. You would prepare the operational procedures, conduct functional tests on machines and then put them into operation.
Your duties would include regular inspections and maintenance procedures. This would, for example, include refilling oils, coolants, lubricants, and exchanging parts which are subject to normal wear and tear such as gaskets, filters or hoses as well as resetting the play of moving parts.
You would supervise the production process and operate and control the material flow. Furthermore you would also make use of manufacturing techniques and implement quality control measures.
