A considerable contribution to this is made by a purposefully applied intelligent lightweight body construction which finds expression in the aluminium-steel-plastic hybrid construction technique used in the new generation of BMW automobiles.
Bodyshell repair technicians specifically learn how to apply new joining technology, the use of various joining methods, computer-aided measurement and back-forming techniques.

Requirements.
- Good performance in mathematics, geometry and technical drawing
- Technical dexterity, responsible attitude and interest in precision bodyshell and vehicle construction
- High noise-tolerance threshold, independent, developed tactile sense, enjoys teamwork, good constitution
- Ability to think in three dimensions, careful, precise working method and a developed tactile sense for a wide range of materials
- Qualifizierter Hauptschulabschluss, mittlere Reife
