DesignworksUSA is a multi-discipline design studio specializing in mobility, product, interface, and strategic design. Acquired in 1995 by BMW Group, the BMW subsidiarys´task is challenge and inspire the design teams of the BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars brands with an outside perspective,with impulses and new approaches. To do this, DesignworksUSA maintains locations in America, Europe, and Asia and works for international customers from a large range of industries. The projects of the design studio range from the sport and lifestyle industry, the medical and IT sector, to aviation and the yacht industry. The teams at DesignworksUSA gain important and extensive insights into the world of brands, markets, companies and consumers, registering phenomenon and trends related to design and using this knowledge to inspire BMW Group.

The 130-strong global team of 25 nationalities comprises designers, modelers, engineers, strategists, color and material specialists and sustainability experts and consultants. DesignworksUSA offers design and consulting services for design strategy, communication and research, product design, transportation design, automobile design, experience and interaction design, color and material design, sustainability consulting, 3D visualization, model making, and more.
